Description

This course provides an overview of healthcare organization, delivery, and financing both in the United States. It explores the development of healthcare systems, examines key stakeholders and components, analyzes healthcare policies, and addresses current challenges in healthcare delivery. The course evaluates emerging trends and ethical challenges in US Healthcare System. This course equips students with basic knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system. In addition, students gain valuable insights into the complexities of healthcare systems, particularly in the context of urban aging populations. The course also emphasizes how social determinants of health shape access to care for vulnerable populations and examines ethical challenges, preparing students to become effective advocates and practitioners in this field.
